:: About the Undergraduate Biotechnology Laboratory ::

Located in Building 33 room 394 the UBL is co-funded by Cal Poly and an NSF CCLI grant. The laboratory is directed by Dr. Michael Black and is used year-round for undergraduate research and the development of course-specific exercises for undergraduate courses. See UBL Poster for more information.

UBL serves to facilitate appropriate integration of biotechnology into undergraduate courses so that students, like industry and basic science, can answer important questions. This is done by developing a successful program that involves four major componets.
